The account of the early church makes it seem easy to be unified. Travis and Rosey talk about a whole other level of difficulty where people, because of their background, have to learn pretty basic things about getting along. Does culture account for the whole difference between what Travis and Rosey describe and what the early church experienced in this passage?
Did the Holy Spirit work in a fundamentally different way in the early church of Acts 2 than he does in Travis and Rosey’s setting (or ours)? Can there be “more” of the Holy Spirit? When the change is slow and difficult can you be confident it is the Holy Spirit at work and not just the strength of community support or personal desire to be a better person?
