Before we dive into what the guests have to say about this passage take a minute to make a list of the things that characterize the early church in Acts 2:42-47, the passage Jesse and Andrew point us to today. You may want to make two columns—one with the things the people did and one with what happened by the power of the Holy Spirit and as a result of their testimony. You may find that a few items on the list aren’t very clear—they could go in either column or both.
Consider the first column again, and the question Jesse and Andrew ask. Which of these apply to us now and which don’t? How do we decide? Hold onto that question as we listen to the interviews. Our guests won’t all see it the same way.
