Steve says that Jesus constantly criticized social structures. Do you agree that Jesus’ methods were confrontational and really stressed people out?
Steve encourages Christians to be critical of government and society, but there are also churches that “want to be known for what we’re for rather than for what we’re against.” Where do you land? How do you walk that path?
Steve makes the comment about “white guys” that “we’re so used to people deferring to us just because of how we look.” If you are a white guy, have you experienced people deferring to you because of how you look? How do you handle that? If you’re not a white guy, have you experienced what he’s referring to? How do you handle that?
