INTERVIEW WITH TRAVIS AND ROSEY ZACHARIAS
Discussion Questions
Travis doesn’t seem to struggle with the passage. He fairly simply divides the pieces in this passage that he thinks should apply to us (study, fellowship together, praying together, being generous and hospitable) and provides an explanation for why the others (having everything in common and meeting every day) probably do not. Do you agree with his assessment? If not, how would you shuffle them?
Travis makes the comment that a communal life of selling everything and sharing isn’t sustainable. If that is the case and that lifestyle was not meant to be adopted by the church permanently, then what do we do with this example from the early church?
Rosey shares the challenges of their ministry and that the change that comes so immediately in Acts is very slow in their setting. In that situation, how can you take encouragement from the early church instead of comparing yourself negatively?
