Introducing The Armchair Anabaptist

The Armchair Anabaptist is a brand new podcast that looks at theological issues from a uniquely Anabaptist perspective. I'm Kevin. 

And I'm Jesse and we will be your hosts on this journey. We are both pastors in the Evangelical Mennonite Conference in Canada and we're inviting you to come along with us as we wrestle, wonder and laugh our way through key issues in Anabaptist theology. 

While we may not be the definitive experts on the subject, we are both highly curious and enjoy asking good questions. 

And more than debating abstract issues, our goal is to take these ideas and honestly and pastorally wrestle with them to understand how we can apply these things, not just in theological circles, but in our day-to-day lives. 

For our very first season, we're going to be looking at the call of Jesus to love our enemies. From geopolitical strife to difficult relationships in our families and communities, Anabaptists have consistently believed in Jesus’ teachings of loving those who have wronged us. Each week we will be joined by a panel of experts as we wrestle through these difficult topics together. 

We have an amazing lineup of guests for this season, from world renowned authors, like Greg Boyd and Brian Zahnd, to leaders and pastors within our own Anabaptist church conference. We were also honored to interview Doctor Ron Sider just a few months before his passing. We talked to him in April of 2022. Episodes will begin releasing in January of 2023 and you'll be able to find us on iTunes and Spotify and wherever podcasts are found.
